This workshop will not be a sit and get! We will be using an innovative learning technique - action collaboratives and design thinking - which means you will be working with other educators to solve a design problem specifically related to education. These are the same techniques used by large companies like IDEO and business incubators to solve real world problems.
What it is: The purpose of this workshop is to provide tools and techniques to increase creativity and creative problem solving in the classroom. Creativity and problem solving are often found on 21st century skill lists, and yet there is little definition around what this means. This is an opportunity to define and see what these skills look like in action.
Who should attend: K-12 teachers, curriculum directors, administrators, and anyone interested in increasing creativity and creative problem solving in education.
Why it's awesome: this is a free professional development event, made for and by lifelong learners who are passionate about making education rock.
